Super -Moon a Super Concern?

Tomorrow March 19th will be the first SUPER-MOON in over 18 years and with the recent events going on around the world like the earthquake in Japan should the world be concerned with the celestial event that is going to happen tomorrow evening when the moon comes the closest it has come to Earth in almost 2 decades.  As it is known the moon affects tides and has a magnetic effect on the Earth.  Should the event going on tomorrow be something to cause worry for the inhabitants of Earth or is it just a cosmic occurrence that will just be like all others and cause no major catastrophe?
I seem to believe that the events tomorrow will be nothing more than just higher tides but not cause any major destruction or wreak havoc on Earth as it seems that mother nature is now starting to turn against us as it is.  With the past winter being one of the snowiest on records and places on Earth getting weather they have never or rarely experience ever have been occurring maybe it is a cause for concern that tomorrow is SUPER MOON.  If all goes well I will post on Sunday all safe and sound and not in any danger.
